// home visit, a different kind of scone…//

i always thought scones were a bit dry and dull, and just plain ol’ dense. but this weekend i went to tranquil tea lounge in downtown fullerton and was quite impressed by their white chocolate lavender scone. the lavender flavor was definitely there, but wasn’t overpowering. the white chocolate added some sweetness but wasn’t too sweet. and overall, it was toasted and crispy on the outside and light and airy on the inside. really really good.

much like the scone, this week’s home visit was different than the usual home visit. i met a number of new people over the last few days and it was quite refreshing. whether or not i see some of these people again, it was still pretty awesome in my book. not stale or anything. thank you, home. it was a delightful visit!

totally indie food chic - p.s. love the fact they use the song “babe” by evenings

// taking it day by day…//

Keep giving me hope for a better day
Keep giving me love to find a way
Through this heaviness I feel
I just need someone to say, everything’s okay

Woke my weary head
Crawled out of my bed
And I said, “Oh, how do I go on?”
Nothing’s going right, shadow’s took the light
And I said, “Oh, how do I go on?”

Sometimes I need a little sunshine
